Ruth Prithika, a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer based in Austin, blending my love for classical dance and storytelling with a global spirit shaped by my artistic journey across India, Ireland, and the U.S.
I began my Bharatanatyam journey at the age of 4, inspired by my mom’s passion for dance and my dad’s theatrical roots. What started as a playful hobby soon grew into a profound passion that has kept me grounded through life’s ups and downs.Growing up, dance was even more fun because of the friendships I built in class. My teacher fostered a strong sense of community, making our dance space one of shared growth, joy, and support—bonds that still hold strong today. Now, as a dancer, the friendships I form through this art are some of the most special to me. It’s the community I’ve created around me that fuels my passion and makes me want to do more.

After moving to Dublin to pursue my master’s in Computer Science, I embarked on a dual journey: thriving as a Process Analyst by profession while exploring my creative side through dance. The storytelling, intricate costumes, and mythological narratives of Bharatanatyam, even coming from my Christian background, have always captivated me. Collaborating with Irish artists enriched my perspective and helped me build a vibrant community of dance enthusiasts.
In 2024, I made the big move from Ireland to US and now I’m currently based in Austin, Texas and I’m looking for opportunities to network and connect!
